Department of Art and Culture

The development of the Department’s 5-year Strategic Plan was shaped by the Medium-Term Strategic Framework -12 Outcomes approach adopted by the 2010 January Cabinet Lekgotla. Senior and middle managers engaged in an intensive strategic planning process in November and December 2010, focusing on achieving its vision ‘To develop and preserve South African culture to ensure social cohesion and national building’.
