2020 Annual Report

In accordance with the Regulations for Reporting by Public Higher Education
Institutions, as promulgated on 9 June 2014, the Council hereby submits the Sefako
Makgatho Health Sciences University 2020 Annual Report, including its Audited
Annual Financial Statement to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. In this Annual Report, we catalogue the progress made with the
implementation of the Annual Performance Plan for 2020, the achievements
registered during the period, and some of the challenges we have experienced and
our plans to mitigate those.

As a newly established University, we are also required to embed a values-based
institutional culture, and a culture of institutional and strategic planning and
implementation monitoring, including the annual performance planning process as
part of the University's annual planning cycle. The performance report in Part B of the report presents detailed progress made against the performance indicators and
targets set in the Annual Performance Plan of 2020.
